So, you have chosen to be GILGAMESH, an excellent choice! I can see that you have the makings of a great hero in you!
Let me tell you a bit about yourself...You are King Gilgamesh of Uruk, you are wise, you see mysteries, you know secret things (which are probably best left secret). When the gods created you they gave you a perfect body, for you are two thirds god and one third man (we won't say which bit).
As the King, it is your divine right to sleep with all brides before their husband on their wedding night. However you are suffering from a sexual identity crisis and have turned into a bit of a sex maniac. The men of Uruk mutter in their
houses, "Gilgamesh sounds the toscin for his amusement, his arrogance has no bounds. No son is left with his father, for Gilgamesh takes them all, even the children. His lust leaves no virgin to her lover, neither the warrior's daughter nor the wife of the noble." The people pray to Anu who creates your equal, the wild man Enkidu. You have a dream; that a great meteor falls from heaven and you cannot lift it, that a strange axe is found lying on the ground and you are mysteriously drawn to it; you are told that this dream foretells the coming of Enkidu.
So, Enkidu enters the city of Uruk and all the folk jostle to see him, speaking
thus, "He is the spit of Gilgamesh." "He is shorter." "He is bigger of bone." "This is the man who was reared on the milk of wild beasts. He is built like a brick flavatory." They
rejoice, "Now Gilgamesh has met his match. This great Enkidu, whose beauty is like a god, will surely kick his ass, but good!"
You are told that there is a beautiful virgin bride just married, who is awaiting her husband, so foolishly you decide to again go exercise your Kingly rights. Just as you get to her door a huge man steps out of the shadows and blocks your way. He sticks out his foot to trip you and you fall to the ground. You look up from the dust and see that the giant form of Enkidu towers above you. He beats his chest and howls a ferocious challenge to battle. The ground trembles and the mighty walls of Uruk shake. You don't wet your loin cloth, but just about. Enkidu is more fearsome looking than you possibly imagined. But you are the King. You can run away and hide, in the hopes that your guards can kill him. Or you can stand up and fight, and take the chance of a damn humiliating beating or worse...
